Spirit Airlines gives Flavor Flav gold membership after missing flight

Last Sunday, a video went viral of Flavor Flav going off on a Spirit Airlines gate agent. This occurred on November 10, as Vlav was leaving Las Vegas, and catching a flight to Detroit.

At the time, Flav wasn’t paying attention to the gate closing, as he was using his phone and laptop. As a result, the Public Enemy rapper pleaded with the gate agent to let him on the flight, but to no avail. Flav supposedly boards last in flights, to avoid crowds from delaying the boarding process, with picture and video requests. Flav apologized to his fans for acting out of character, but not to the gate agent and Spirit Airlines.

However, Spirit Airlines is now trying to make things right with Flav. According to TMZ, they’ve fully refunded his flight, and upgraded his Spirit membership to gold status. This helps Flav avoid extra charges such as baggage fees and paying for seats. Flav hasn’t spoken publicly about Spirit trying to make things right, but it seems that he won’t be going off on them again, anytime soon.
