Very few things went as expected this NBA season, which is what made it so exciting. This is especially true for the Golden State Warriors, a team projected by many to finish second in their division. Given the success of the Los Angeles Clippers, this was a plausible prediction.

However, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and new head coach, Steve Kerr, had different plans. Early in the season, Golden State got off to a strong start. As the season progressed, they never cooled off and finished the season 67-15.

Through two games in the playoffs against the New Orleans Pelicans, it looked like smooth sailing for the Warriors, despite the collapse at the end of game one. Last night, the series shifted to New Orleans and the Pelicans dominated throughout the game, at one point leading by 23. Behind clutch play from Stephen Curry, who finished with 40 points, including a very clutch 3 pointer, and 28 points from Klay Thompson, they shut down the Pelicans and 29 points from Anthony Davis to win, going up 3-0 in the first round series.
