Verzuz continues to go strong as the last battle featured SWV and Xscape on May 8. Verzuz had announced back in March their spring schedule as well and one of those dates included a “rematch” coming during Memorial Day weekend. Now, that matchup has been revealed.
On Tuesday, Verzuz took to social media to say that Timbaland and Swizz Beatz will be in this rematch on May 30. These two are the co-founders of Verzuz. They also participated in the first Verzuz battle back in March 2020. This Verzuz will kick off at 8pm ET and will be streamed on the Triller or FiteTV apps or on the Verzuz Instagram feed.
The location of this Verzuz is also an interesting one as it will be at club LIV in Miami. Miami is a very popular location for Memorial Day weekend, so this choice was definitely fitting. LIV is located at the Fontainebleu hotel in Miami Beach.
Swizz and Timbaland also made a huge move with Verzuz this spring as as Triller Network acquired this platform. The two have since been working with Triller on overseeing “music and other company strategies.” Swizz and Timb also became large shareholders in Triller and distributed equity stakes to every performer who appeared on Verzuz.
