Before the albums, Waka Flocka Flame was one of the biggest mixtape rappers in the game, alongside Gucci Mane. In between albums, Waka Flocka Flame keeps his mixtape game up, releasing new projects. Barely weeks after releasing Triple F Life, Waka Flocka Flame began working on Salute Me or Shoot Me 4.
Waka Flocka Flame recently discussed Salute Me or Shoot Me 4 and how it came together. When he described working on the project, Waka Flocka Flame compared it to a woman going into labor. Putting a project together for grown men, Waka Flocka Flame said he mentally went into labor.
Speaking with HipHopDX.com, Waka Flocka Flame would also discuss his statements from a year ago, when he said he was retiring. Waka Flocka Flame admitted he wakes up and does not feel like doing what he does, saying everyone feels it. But, because of him being in the spotlight, what he says goes a longer way.
Closing the interview, Waka Flocka Flame spoke on Slim Dunkin’s death. While he said Slim Dunkin’s death did not affect him, he admitted he was hurt by the loss of his friend.
