Young Thug hit with misdemeanor speeding charges

Next month will see Young Thug and Gunna stand trial, for their 56-count RICO indictment case. The two Atlanta rappers, along with 26 other of their YSL associates, were initially arrested in May. Thug and Gunna have each since been denied bond requests, three times.

Thug has been hit with plenty of serious charges, since his indictment. However, even more charge are being handed down. According to WSB-TV 2, Thug has been hit with misdemeanor charges of street racing, reckless driving, and speeding. In May, he’s said to have been driving a car at 120mph.

Thug’s attorney, Brian Steele, has since released a statement regarding these charges.

“As of two weeks ago, that case was being resolved with a seatbelt violation. Today, now it’s indicted in the Fulton County Superior Court.”

However, This trial was initially aimed at being set in March. Atlanta D.A Fani Willis filed a motion to do so, in order to get other YSL members time to be able to finally get legal representation. They still haven’t been able to do so, as everyone will still stand trial, on January 5. Many are facing life in prison.
