Young Thug pays tribute to Takeoff on Twitter
It’s been over a week now, since Takeoff passed away. The Migos rapper was shot and killed outside of a Houston bowling alley, in the early hours of November 1. Quavo got into an argument with a group of men, as 10 shots were soon fired. Takeoff was in the middle of the crossfire, as he was hit in the torso and head.
Takeoff’s funeral will be taking place on November 11, in his hometown of Atlanta. This will be held at State Farm Arena, which is home to the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. Justin Bieber will also be among the performers, there.
Many tributes for Takeoff have since poured in, on social media. This includes from various celebrities, such as Young Thug. Thug is now speaking on Takeoff’s passing, from jail. On Twitter, he went on to say “RIP @1Takeoff. Real & solid.” Thug had collaborated with Migos on a number of occasions.
As for Thug, he remains incarcerated, since early May. This is due to being included in a 56-count RICO indictment with Gunna, and 26 other members of their YSL crew. Both he and Gunna have since been denied requests for bond, three times. Gunna’s trial is in January 2023, and Thug’s is in March.
