Jerrika Karlae says Young Thug is in “great spirits” in jail
Last week, Young Thug’s bond request was officially denied bond. That came at a hearing, where prosecutors explained how dangerous Thug is. They also added that Thug rapped about shooting at YFN Lucci’s mother, in the January 2021 “Bad Boy” song, with Juice WRLD.
Thug and Gunna had initially been indicted last month, along with 26 other members of their YSL crew. Alleged crimes committed were RICO, murders, and various gang activities. Gunna’s bond was also denied, as he and Thug will both stand trial, in January 2023. They will remain in jail until then, as well.
Thug’s on-and-off girlfriend, Jerrika Karlae, is also publicly speaking out, following Thug’s latest bond shutdown. Karlae appeared on The Progress Report, that Thug is in “great spirits.”
“Yeah, I spoke to him,” Karla said. “He’s doing good, actually, and he’s in great spirits. I feel like this is just a moment for him to learn a lot of lessons. Honestly, he was giving me advice on how to… He was like, ‘Keep your head in the game, wake up every day and put a smile on your face and be thankful, and we good.”
