She said some young black kids threw a party, which is currently illegal, and she had no idea what was going on, but the landlord accused her of throwing the party, screaming at her. After proving herself innocent of the party, Hurtado said the landlord requested her to remove her Black Lives Matter flag, which is on the back of her apartment, only visible to other residents, but it stood for two weeks, with no prior problems.

On Facebook, she went off on a rant about racism, and white privilege, which she says doesn't exist. Accusing black men of being responsible for over half of the US's murders, not taking care of their kids, and selling crack, instead of going to college, Wilks went off on an epic Facebook rant about race. Along with her rant, she shared a video, where she denied being racist, but spouted more racist stereotypes about black people.
