This morning, the hip hop world woke up to shocking news, as Big Kap died. News of his death is circulating the internet and the hip hop world is in mourning. The New York City era is taking the news especially hard.
Big Kap spoke to Hip Hop Vibe in 2014 at the UMAs and he gave his opinion on the new generation. During his era, Big Kap worked with many people who became legends. Among those was Lauryn Hill and her legacy goes without saying.
During the 1990s, Big Kap worked with Funkmaster Flex, DJ Enuff, and many other DJs, releasing albums. His mainstream claim to fame is the single, “Da Ladies In The House,” which boasts features from Bahamadia, Lauryn Hill, Precise, and Uneek. In honor of Big Kap, this track is this week’s Wednesday Throwback.
