Chris Rock says he’s still processing Will Smith slap incident at Oscars
Tonight, Chris Rock has his first stand-up comedy show, ever since getting slapped by Will Smith, at the Oscars. This show is going down in Boston right now, as he asked the crowd how their weekend was.
Regarding the Will Smith incident, Rock says that he’s still processing the situation. He also added that he will go into more details about it at another time, and will even laugh it off.
“I don’t have a bunch of s*** about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I’m still kind of processing what happened. So, at some point, I’ll talk about that s***. And it will be serious and funny.”
The applause for Rock on stage also ended up being so loud, that Rock needed them to let him start his show. Rock went on to say “Yo, let me do the show!” Someone in the crowd also yelled “F*ck Will Smith!,” in support of Rock. Rock’s ticket sales have also soared, since that Oscars incident.
More information is also surfacing from last weekend, as Smith reportedly refused to leave the Oscars, after the slap. That supposedly led to “yelling” and a “heated confrontation” between Academy President David Rubin and CEO Dawn Hudson, with Smith’s reps.
