Cardi B pays tribute to Takeoff on Instagram
On Friday, Takeoff’s funeral service was held, in his hometown of Atlanta, at State Farm Arena. This was attended by Quavo, Takeoff, Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Pierre “P” Thomas, Cardi B, Gucci Mane, and more. Justin Bieber and Chloe Bailey were among the performers who did an amazing job, as well. Fans who are Georgia residents were also able to attend, for free.
Cardi B is also now speaking out, about the unfortunate passing of Takeoff. She just took to her Instagram feed, to speak kind words of homage, after attending his funeral with Offset. She explained the pain that losing Takeoff has had on many, but praised the impact that he’s had, on others.
Takeoff your untimely passing has brought a great deal of pain and sorrow to so many lives. The impact you had in this world was so considerable and we have struggled to grasp this tragedy. I am heartbroken but I am grateful for all the precious memories we got to share while you were here with us.
Takeoff was initially shot and killed, in the early hours of November 1. This occurred outside of a Houston bowling alley, that he was at, with Quavo. An argument between Quavo and a group of men ensued, as two firearms went on to be used. Takeoff was hit in the torso and head, as a result of being caught in the crossfire.
