Yesterday saw a celebration of Black Excellence, coming from a very positive place. Usually, when black men are mentioned on social media, they are being dehumanized. But, yesterday showed a very positive trend, Black Men Smiling.
Similarly, black women are often referred to as “angry,” which is unfair, as all people get upset. But, black women get a bad rap for being bitter and angry. Tonight saw the positive trend come for the black women, who have changed the political structure.
#BlackWomenSmiling is tonight’s trending Twitter topic. It’s been going on, all day, as black women have shown their happy faces. Just like with the other trend, other races are trying to throw shade, but this post is about the happy, beautiful, confident, black women.
