SZA speaks on making charting history alongside Beyoncé
A week ago, SZA earned her first number one single in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That was with “Kill Bill,” which appeared on her recent new sophomore album, “SOS.” Last month, the Kill Bill remix with Doja Cat went on to be released. SOS was also SZA’s first number one album, after it debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
SZA’s Kill Bill single topping the Hot 100 also earned her another major milestone. She joined Beyoncé as the only Black female artists to have a number one song and album, in this decade. As a result, SZA is now speaking on Instagram, regarding making history alongside Beyoncé. In her Instagram story, she said “To be next to the queen is an honor.”
Meanwhile, SZA also recently announced the second half of her SOS Tour. She is expanding into more North American cities, and will also be venturing into Europe. The European dates will kick things off in the summer in Amsterdam, in June 1. The first US show is in Miami, on September 20. Therefore, the concluding stop of the tour will be held on October 29, in Phoenix, AZ.
